To ensure 100% literacy in the village for forthcoming generations Akshrabhyasam program is organized every year, encouraging parents to enroll their children in preprimary school.
The significance of the program is the participation of all communities, irrespective of their religion or caste, – with each following their own – but with the common objective to start their child’s education.
Supplementary education classes for high school girls to assist their academic education, specially in Mathematics and Physics are held each day at the DFVDT Resource Centre.
DFVDT has initiated supplementary education programs, scholarships, and coaching programs to ensure 100% literacy in the village. Shortly coaching for Competitive Exams is being initiated.

Girls with high GPA who are unable to continue their higher education due to economic reasons, are given Scholarships to confidently continue their higher education.
Each year in the month of May / June based on the GPA and the School Managements recommendation, Scholarships are given.
Every year during the months of February and March, supplementary nutrition food program is administered. For children staying back in school preparing for exams, this initiative has enabled them to focus on their studies.
Coaching for Navodaya and Gurukula School programs of the Government is provided by DFVDT. Selected children get free and quality education through the Government system, helping families save up to Rs 25000/- per child. So far 245 girls have been selected after coaching at DFVDT.

Girl Child protection is one of the major concerns. Along with the District Administration, DFVDT has initiated the Safe Kamareddy campaign and initiatives have been taken to train Girls on self-defense skills. Various campaigns have been administered to sensitize primary and secondary stakeholders.

Few Girls in Domakonda and surrounding villages have access to computers. External coaching centers charge Rs.3000 for basic computer knowledge. Further, Girls who have completed graduation or post-graduation are unable to take opportunities for employment due to lack of computer knowledge. A prominent member of the trustee family has extended support by providing computers to DFVDT, where girls can now come and access and learn skills, thereby becoming competent and gaining confidence.

DFVDT has also taken up coaching in the sport of Archery and Cricket. A Girl from Domakonda went on to represent India in an Asian competition.Â
The means of livelihood of 80% of domakondas women is Beedi making. It is also observed that several families are dependent on their women for livelihood, Hence there is need for promoting alternate livelihood opportunities for women.
Skill development programs have been established to train women in healthcare, tailoring, housekeeping, computer literacy, among other fields.
DFVDT has established a Sanitary Napkin unit and a Handloom unit to provide employment opportunities for women.Â
Women are being trained to enhance their skills in weaving and allied activities.
For imparting a holistic education for young girls, which would also involve connecting to our culture and traditions, DFVDT is conducting Kuchipudi dance classes in Domakonda Fort.
